A Treasure Buried in the Stacks!

As we are doing some spring cleaning in the library and going through our collection we've come across some forgotten gems! Each week we will feature a book from our stacks that we think you should check out! Our first one is a "delightful gem of a novel" called Mrs. Queen Takes the Train by William Kuhn.
Attention all Anglophiles and lovers of all things Royal! This is a fun novel for you! Published back in 2012, shortly after the marriage of William and Kate, this book "wittily imagines the kerfuffle that transpires when a bored Queen Elizabeth strolls out of the palace in search of a little fun, leaving behind a desperate team of courtiers who must find the missing Windsor before a national scandal erupts." (amazon.com).
What I loved about it was that it showed a very human and relatable side to the monarchy. A fun, funny, quick look into what it means to be part of history, but not quite know how you fit into the present. Request this book by emailing circ@stratford.njlibraries.org
